Margaret O'Connell

Associate Solicitor

Margaret M. O’Connell is an Associate in our Probate, Estate & Wills Department. Margaret qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and joined the firm in 2015, having gained extensive experience in all aspects of general practice. Margaret is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an associate of the Irish Tax Institute. She is also a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner ( T.E.P) and a member of S.T.E.P. international. Margaret is a member of the Taxation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland. Margaret is also a panel member of the Decision Support Service as a Decision Making Representative

 

Margaret is an experienced solicitor who specialises in the areas of Conveyancing, Succession Law, Wills, Probate and Estates. Margaret deals with all types of Estates, both testate and intestate, solvent and insolvent, Wills, Trusts, Tax planning, s.117 applications/defence, litigation and problem estates, family wealth planning and lifetime passing of value to successors. Margaret deals with all types of decision making and capacity arrangements.

 

Margaret also has extensive experience in the area of conveyancing and deals with residential sales and purchases, site transfers, farm transfers and solving title issues by way of first registrations, s.49/ ‘squattors title’/ adverse possession applications, rectification of title and s.49A or registration of rights of way.

  • Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning, Law Society of Ireland.
