Kevin Sherry

Associate Solicitor

Kevin is an Associate Solicitor in the firm’s litigation department and qualified as a Solicitor in the firm in 2009, having commenced as an apprentice here in 2005.  Kevin specialises in all aspects of Civil Litigation, Child Care Law, Public Law Prosecutions and Employment Law.

 

Kevin specialises in all aspects of child care law and is the lead Solicitor in the firm in this area for County Clare. He is an experienced advocate with extensive knowledge of the Court system. Kevin acts for a number of client in relation to Personal Injuries actions, Contract Disputes, Professional Negligence and Debt Collection. In addition to this he acts for Employers and Employees in Employment Law Disputes.  

 

This and all of his other litigation experience below demonstrate his proficiency and expertise in: Attendance and advocacy at hearings in the District, Circuit and High Court; Interpreting and applying legislation relevant to all matters pertaining to Civil Litigation; Reviewing evidence and advising clients after highlighting potential risks, mitigating and/or aggravating factors; Progressing cases through the courts in compliance with Court Practice Directions as implemented by various Circuit Court Offices; Preparing cases for hearing including consideration of Reports, and pre-trial consultations and meeting with clients; Negotiating Agreements with Solicitors in contentious litigation matters; Drafting Consent Agreements; Cost Negotiations in relation to Civil Litigation Cases; Advising vulnerable clients in a sensitive manner and Reporting to clients throughout including detailed reports pertaining to lengthy and contentious Court hearings.

  • Law Society Diploma in Employment Law

  • Law Society Diploma in Corporate Governance

  • Admitted to the Law Society of Ireland in 2009
