Solicitors are compelled to undertake continuing professional education (CPD) every year. Eileen Whelan of DGOD decided to organise a CPD event for local female solicitors in aid of Pieta House. The lunch time event at the River Bistro was sold out in three days with colleagues eager to support Pieta House and obtain their CPD points. Orla Clancy of Orla Clancy PR and Niamh Quinn of Quinn Communications presented a lecture to the group entitled “The Use of Social Media in Promotion Your Business” and kindly agreed to waive their fee. The presentation was most informative and interesting and as a result this blog was born!
Nora Conway of Pieta House addressed the group and highlighted the services available at Pieta for persons who are despairing and where the money raised would be utilised. The event raised €1037 for Pieta House.
